What stays on your device
Your browser keeps, only for you: where you were in each episode, your playback speed, whether subtitles were on, and how many minutes you have listened. Nothing of this is sent anywhere. Clearing the site's data removes it.
What is recorded
- Visits. A small script sends which pages you open and what you tap to our own visit counter (kstats, run by the same person as this site), through this site's address. It records the page, the time, your country, a coarse device type such as "android/chrome", and the network you came from. It stores no IP address, no cookie and no id on your device; a visitor is counted with a one-way code that changes every day, so visits cannot be linked across days. Visit records are deleted after about 400 days.
- Feedback. If you send the feedback form, it keeps your message, the page you sent it from, a coarse device type and, only if you give one, your email address so we can reply. It goes to a private inbox read by one person.
Who else sees your connection
- Cloudflare serves this site.
- News episodes play their audio from the publisher's own server (Observador through Omny Studio and Triton Digital, ARD, rbb). Like any podcast app, playing one connects you to that server, which sees your IP address and may count the play.
- The fonts come from Google Fonts.
